// Background
From the Water to the Code
Surfing, Spartan races, triathlons, mountain biking. If there's a finish line or a wave, I'm interested.
I grew up racing sailboats in Miami and eventually captained charter vessels — experiences that taught me early that conditions are never perfect and solutions that only work in theory rarely survive contact with reality. That mindset has shaped everything I've built since.
My engineering journey didn't start in a classroom. In 2013 I helped build iLash & Skincare from the ground up, taking an idea from concept to operation. Over the next decade I wore just about every hat imaginable: business formation, licensing, marketing, Google Ads, web development, IT infrastructure, and technical leadership. Every challenge demanded a solution, and more often than not, technology was the most effective answer.
After years of solving real-world business problems through technology, I decided to formalize the skills I had developed in practice. I returned to school while working full-time, earning a B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Information Security, followed by CompTIA Security+ certification. The degree strengthened the foundation. The experience had already built it.
Today, I develop full-stack software and consult on IT security for small and mid-sized businesses. I enjoy building practical solutions that create measurable impact — whether that's improving operations, strengthening security, or helping organizations leverage modern tools, including AI, to move faster from idea to execution.
Miami-born. Still here. Still building.
